Athinórama review: a wide cross-Balkan repertoire (14/20)

Esthiō reviewed in Athinórama

A wide cross-Balkan repertoire, reviewed

In its Athinórama review, critic Dimitris Antonopoulos awarded Esthiō 14/20, praising the way chef Elvi-Dimitris Zyba refreshes the Athens dining scene with a broad, creative cross-Balkan repertoire.

The kitchen moves between relaxed bistronomy and a more refined sensibility — from marinated fish on rustic flatbread seasoned with kebab spices to the standout giaourtotavás, its rice cooked in goat broth and finished with fine lamb sweetbreads.

Desserts continue the theme, reworking comfort sweets such as halva and touloumba, all served in a cosy room just a couple of hundred metres from the Acropolis Museum.

As reviewed by Dimitris Antonopoulos in Athinórama. Read the original article in full using the link below.
